THE TEAM

TRAY GOODMAN

FOUNDER, OWNER, AUTHOR, PRODUCER & DIRECTOR

His work has been described as inspired, transformative, and urgent. Tray Goodman’s expansive career has been an exploration of the evolving models of communication, allowing him to internalize the impact of narrative in a way makes film and literature his intuitive expression rather than an exercise of craft.

In this space, the moving image is Tray’s native language, while the written and spoken word are translational; modalities by which he navigates and documents our emergent global story line.

Tray takes what he refers to as a “non-lateral,” approach to storytelling, understanding that the most comprehensive translation of our world involves not just looking backwards and forwards, but also looking outward and inward. Reflection upon the past and anticipation of what is to come are the critical scaffolding of our shared experiences, but aspiration and introspection are the dimensions that engender our most authentic truths.

Tray Goodman is a man who rejects constraints. He draws his inspiration from the international landscape, and his extensive travels continually inform and refine his personal ethos. Time spent in Ukraine and Iraq cast a long shadow over Tray’s artistic expression; cities like Chernobyl and landmarks like the Ziggurat of Ur have cemented his belief that ruins can be rebuilt, stature can be restored, and amidst devastation lies the fertile ground for rebirth.

Tray practices integrationalism, incorporating the many disciplines of communication into a holistic approach. Film, television, print, and the spoken word all shape our collective understanding, but the experience not yet documented and the words not yet spoken convey meaning as well. The potential of this negative space is what Tray seeks to insert into our various certitudes, challenging our assumptions by creating fissures in our concreteness.

Tray chooses to work on projects that explore themes of examination and discovery. For him, these are parts of the same destination towards which he is guiding us, sometimes gently and sometimes insistently. A prolific artist, a new work begins before another ends, transforming the life-cycle of a project into a spectrum. His work reads like an invitation to share his nonlinear experience of the world around us.

Where the arrival and departure intersect, and where the inchoate converges with the complete is the fluctuating space in which Tray Goodman constructs his most truthful and cohesive story lines.

SAM

OWNER, PRODUCER, DIRECTOR & DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Sam believes communication and teamwork is key to a great production. Big or small. She loves to learn and teach others why film has been and will continue to be her passion. Sam’s most recent production was GCM own feature length documentary called “#HatersMakeMeFamous” where she acted as co-producer, co-director and worked as the Director of Photography.  With an artillery of gear knowledge behind her,

Sam is familiar with both film sets and broadcast control rooms. She has a passion for sports replay of all kinds with the exciting pressure of getting the right shot to the crowds. She also loves telling stories on sets with dynamic lighting and shots only found on film sets. Sam also spends a lot of time paying it forward and teaching others her knowledge. She is a professor at Scottsdale Community College, teaching different aspects of a broadcast control room. She has also been teaching a children’s camp at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts for over 10 years, inspiring children to tell their own stories through film and editing.

Sam practices learning and listening as much as leading and producing. She works to create pieces of work that show her artistic expression.

KATRINA

OWNER, PRODUCER, DIRECTOR & DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Katrina Palmisano earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Grand Canyon University in Film Production and has found her niche in the world of post-production. Affectionately known as “Hurricane” on set, she’s the whirlwind that wears many hats. Her work includes a wide spectrum of projects from commercials and corporate videos to television shows, music videos, and documentaries.

Most recently she has produced and edited two feature film documentaries, #HatersMakeMeFamous and Life as a Psychic. Both are currently available on Amazon Prime. Katrina’s true gift is that of an intuitive storyteller, who knows her audience and has the talents needed to paint them into any picture she creates. Though her skill set is expansive, she feels most at home in the editing bay where she weaves together the intricate pieces of the story and ensures the final cut is top-notch.
In a nutshell, Katrina feels that Shakespeare has thoroughly captured her personality in his famous quote:

“Though she be but little, she is fierce!”

― William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream
